BVB in Trinidad



What's your History?

I became a BVB fan in 2009, during Klopp's first season in charge. I had seen a couple of Dortmund matches and really enjoyed their style of play. As I found myself excited to learn more about the club itself, and as I watched more matches I just fell in love. I knew something about this team was so very different. In 2020 while under lockdown, I dug deeper into how to better connect with the club, and learned that I could easily form an official fanclub, especially since they were none as yet in the Caribbean region.

Why do you love BVB?

To me, BVB means community. It means to welcome all to the beautiful game without condition, without judgement cast on race, religion, skin colour, sexuality, economic standing. BVB truly embodies a rare, grassroots heart of football in a modern era of international clubs, a team built on integrity if you really go back into the history, and it's amazing that it hasn't been lost, I love that so much. BVB is family.

What's your most memorable BVB-Moment?

Definitely completing the double on May 12th 2012!
